Vital Aelion
Vital Aelion is a serial entrepreneur, currently focused on cleantech and on real estate.

While working for JPMorgan, UBS, and Standard Chartered Bank, Vital provided investment banking services to chemicals and related clients across the US, Europe and SE Asia, raising billions across multiple globally recognized transactions. He also wrote chemicals equity research for Banc of America and for Bear Stearns. Prior to investment banking, Vital worked as a management consultant at Nexant/ChemSystems and at Kearney, also servicing the needs of chemicals and related clients.

Vital was part of the executive team at Cool Planet, a startup focused on producing carbon negative fuels while coproducing biochar. He played a leading role in raising $100 million, the largest cleantech raise globally in 2013-2014. He also contributed to Cool Planet’s multiple global recognitions, including 2014 CNBC Disruptor 50, Frost & Sullivan’s 2014 Technology Innovation Award, Bloomberg’s 2015 New Energy Pioneers Award, and the 2015 Edison Award.

More recently, Vital became involved in real estate. In 2016 he founded Hutt Homes, a Denver-based residential rental business that grew to include 100+ rental units. He played a key role in establishing Ironton Capital in 2022, a real estate fund focused on diversified opportunities nationwide.
Vital holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering Practice from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business.

He holds U.S. and European citizenships. He was awarded U.S. Permanent Residency status under the “Individual of Extraordinary Ability” distinction.
