Don Davies

Don Davies, SE, is Co-Founder and Principal of Davies-Crooks
Associates. An industry-leading structural engineer championing urban
density and lower-carbon construction, he was named a 2024 U.S.
Special Presidential Envoy on Climate and a 2023 ENR Top 25 Newsmaker.

Don helped found the Carbon Leadership Forum, Building Transparency,
the Lower-Carbon Concrete Task Force, and the MKA Foundation. He has
been inducted into the UC Berkeley Academy of Distinguished Alumni. He
is currently serving as Interim Executive Director of Building
Transparency, helping bring forward the open data and tools needed to
inspire actions that positively impact our world.

A past president of Magnusson Klemencic Associates, his structural
design projects span 18 countries and more than 50 major metropolitan
centers, including over 47 Performance-Based Seismic Design towers in
high seismic zones.
